Crazy Quilt Finished

Last week began the story of this quilt. It will be entered into a crazy quilt contest to benefit the Alliance for American Quilts. Here is my crazy quilt pieced together from the old one. It is 16 in X 16 in as the rules demand.
Here is the quilt after I finished adding more embroidery and embellishment.
And here are some detail photos of the work.

I *really* love it. You have an awesome balance of embellishment and I love that some of it is dimensional. You should be really proud of how this turned out!!!

That is gorgeous, Ramona! You are so talented. You have such a great eye for seeing what goes where on your quilts. It reminds me a lot of stained glass. The right patterns in the glass having to flow in the right direction of the various pieces.

Your getting like Happy with your posts. I clicked on and saw that I would have a lot to catch up on. I can't keep up with that guy.
I'm used to see one of two to read up, not 10! ha,ha..

Beautiful crazy quilt...I actually made a couple of quilts once...I really enjoy it. Right now, I'm saving my kids' cute clothes in the hopes of making quilts to take away to college someday. (I'm a sentimental sap that way...)
Glad you found me...should be fun following a fellow creative surgeon...=)

Yes, it nice to find other female surgeons. :)
