Houndstooth Patch Quilt

This child's quilt is made using the houndstooth scrap patch.  It is machine pieced and quilted.  The finished quilt measures 41 in X 56 in.  I gave it to a colleague for his grandchild.

Hat Done, Top in Progress

This hat is actually a darker, richer brown that the photos show.  It was knits using the pattern  Cabled Dad Hat  by Alexis Winslow.  The yarn is Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash.   The hat can be worn slouchy or with the brim folded.

This top is what I am currently knitting.  I am knitting it in the round rather than as a front and back piece to be seamed latter.  When I got to the armhole shaping it seemed to wide so I frogged it back to the pattern and am working in a few decrease rounds.  The pattern is Summer Breeze Tank.  The yarn is Classic Elite Yarns Firefly and the color is called sour green.  It is a much lovelier shade than my photo shows.

Stars Galore

This lovely quilt, Stars Galore, is the quilt I received in the ALQS9 quilt swap.  It's 18.25" square, machine pieced and quilted.  It was made by Marie.  Her blog is Marie's Creative Space.

Child's Crazy Quilt

I have a hard time throwing away fabric scraps.  These children quilts seem to be a good way to use those scraps.  This one measures 39.5 in x 49 in.  I think these make a great way for children and adults to interact.  They can either look for different colors, shapes, or things or they can use what they find to tell stories.
The next few photos are close ups to show details.  In this one you can find flags, a robot, an angel, trees, fireworks, the work "eek," and more.

In  this one you can find owls, motorcycles, trees, a pink suitcase, two girls talking with their feet up, the word "Arkansas" over a basketball and net, and kangaroos.

In this on there are teddy bears, sunflowers, a dog house, snowman, and shapes (triangles, squares).
In this one you can find building, a tractor, horses, dogs, and a pirate map.

Here is the back.
